400,000 take to the Streets in Hama, Syria


According to an activist, more than 400,000 protesters are demonstrating against the Syrian regime in Hama, north of the capital Damascus.

In 1982 Syrian troops killed between 20,000 and 30,000 people in Hama during a crackdown on protests

Meanwhile in Homs another 100,000 protesters gathered, two shot dead by government forces.
