Iranian Nuclear Scientist Shot Dead in Teheran

A 35-year-old nuclear scientist was shot dead during a drive-by shooting outside of his home in Teheran today. His wife was injured.

Gunmen on a motorcycle shot and killed nuclear physicist Darioush Rezaei this morning in front of his home in Bani Hashem Street in Teheran. It is unclear if Mr. Rezaei was involved in Iran’s heavily-critizised nuclear program, suspected by some countries to aim at producing nuclear weapons.

Since November at least three other nuclear scientists were killed by unknown assailants, another one was wounded. Iran blames CIA and Mossad for the assassinations.
