Bio: He had a diverse career as a professional soldier, diver and explorer. He started photography aged 12 and over the years gradually developed his skills to become a professional photographer. The last ten years he worked as a freelance photojournalist.

His special interests: military, war & conflict, transport, travel

Languages: German, English

Professional Associations: South East Europe Media Organisation, Society of International Media & Press Photographers and various defense-related organizations

Mariela (Bulgarian)

Bio: She started her career as a journalist with the Sofia Press Agency. Later, she moved into telecommunications. After 17 years in the media and telecommunication industry she went to become a freelance journalist and added the camera as a reporting tool.

Mariela has a certificate as a Crime Reporter from the Bulgarian National Police Academy, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and another one in English Philology.

Her special interests: economy, politics, energy, travel

Languages: Bulgarian, English, French, Russian, Greek

Professional Associations: Union of Bulgarian Journalists, South East Europe Media Organisation, Society of International Media & Press Photographers
